April always brings showers

South of the border, April showers still brings may flowers. Well in this case, April showers brings
So, while walking home from school one day I got caught in the rain. It was only a drizzle actually. I began to danced softly in the rain, when a friend saw me and said "if you don´t go inside your going to catch a cold." Which was slightly hard to believe since its so hot here. But I went inside, put down my bookbag and decide I would go to the beach. Then JorgeMario (my host brother) said that it was dangerous to go during the storm because I could get struck down by lighten. According to my host mother this is really common in Costa Rica. Who knew? Thank God its not common in the states. I mean as I told my host mom: it would be cool in an audience position to see but then it would also be sad :-/ I really wanted to go dancing on the beach... in a poetic/romantic way.

 

May begins the rainy season in Costa Rica. Only thing is, God is on time so around April 17th begin the transition period. It drizzles maybe like once or twice a week. However, as of Sunday when it rains it pours. There are no more light drizzles. The rainy season is usually characterized by rain all afternoon, for consecutive days. However, the past nights it has being raining and sometimes the electricity goes funky-That also may be due to the amount of people using it though. Back to the rain... its not just light or heavy rain its the whole shabang... thundering, lightening and flooding too.
