The melting pot vs. A toss salad

The melting pot vs a toss salad.

At first I thought the melting pot was a soup pot.

There was a caldorn, fuming, melting it seemed from the inside out. It all began with Rock soup. Rocks and cold fresh water. Everyone brought what they could, everything was put in. It took a while for it to come to a boil. The crow knew things were really heating up as a garlic ginger wafted over the hungry wokers.  Pretty soon, all the ingredients boldly broke down and shared their best. Defiling the clear water in the pot. At the end nothing really stood out. The seasonings transformed the very taste of the stock and the produce to a new creation.

At another table there was a distinct dressing for a toss salad was need. Bowl after bowl was place to serve the hungry crowd. The host chanted:
"Give me your tired, your poor,

Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free..."
But not your hungry because we don't want any people who might want to cook up their own thing. But they say when your hungry you'll eat anything. Which is good because the salad was pretty much set: pitted black olives, feta cheese, roma tomatoes and fresh spinach. The salty olives contrasted nicely with the smooth feel of the feta ever so often someone added a strawberries or tossed in walnuts. The flavors was distinct  and separate. What sauce if any should we make?
