Today in history

April 5, 1968, was one day after the death of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. There were riots in many prodominately black urban centers. Some say Martin Luther King Jr.'s death was necessary for the civil reforms that followed. I would say the mass riots and community unity and activism that followed was MANDATORY for the civil reforms that followed.

People were sick and tired of being fed up.
Fed up with what you say?

Fed full with rotten food?
Sick because of poor housing?
Tired of racing to move up into a society that is closed to them?

Tired of overt greed and microagressions?
Full of jail time?
Sick of living within the cliff effect?

Sick of stolen opportunities?
Tired of the growing demands for on today?
Full of lost futures and silenced past?

Folks who become sick, tired are full of "there are no boundaries except when it's you" can find themselves with a clear mind.

  1. Well Done April. I love the way you took an everyday saying and played on the words. This is fit for a book!
