Remembering packing La Canasta

As I interview folks about working in food coops or in CSA, its bringing back good memories about packing La Canasta bags. I mean the work was so mundane that it allowed us to talk about whatever. It was a great experience to get to know your fellow members better. To appreciate their taste in music, choice in podcasts and food. La Canasta asked members to swap recipe ideas and in doing so we broke sterotypes. We have so much more in common than we are different. Only when we feed each other, then we can liberate ourselves.
