Labeling Food Products

So to continue this idea of speaking with the stranger our neighbors. Recently, I was in the store, and an older lady stopped me and aske me to read her the MFD on this carton. I was so surprised I almost pooped. I realize I hardly every look at the dates of the food I purchase. Do you know what MFD means?

Last Tuesday, I learnt something new, by speaking to a stranger. Are New Yorkers so vulnerable that we can't speak to one another? How does this community of distrust impact our sense of empathy. How does the fear of the unknown keep us ignorant and thus power less?

 

After speaking with Sis. I was then able to have a discussion about what's important the BBD, Expiration date or the MFD? How come there is all theses dates and no one is educating our children on how to shop?
