My most prolific crop

My goal to garden more really came to fruitition. This year I planted such a great variety: Eggplants, collard greens, onions, tomatoes...  I thank God because I was really skeptical of how green my thumb would show to be now that it was sort of a requirement at my job. Any who in this post, I wanted to highlight my most prolific crop: Cucumbers!!

In the pizza box(my garden name), all my cucumbers asked for was a lot of water and a trellis; then whoosh. I only planted two cucumber transplants. They grew up down and then began to spread out, so at one point I had to cut back the plants. Cucumbers and tomatoes were my steady diet every time I worked in the pizza box. It was awesome to come garden and eat. As I prepared to put the pizza box to bed for the winter, I harvested my cucumber plants for the last time and dug them up. My final harvest was 14 cucumbers- from pickling size to the length of my forearm.

(Wrong Picture alert: Random harvest of cabbage, basil, swiss chard, a Japanese eggplant, tomatoes and chives.)
