Quarantined Foodie Adventures I: Zucchini casserole

It is so fulfilling to cook what you grow (literally and figuratively.) However, when you give away vegetables that you grew... the excitement is real. The hype over harvesting food is invigorating, even people who don't cook or really eat vegetables want in on the harvest.

The excitement around having fresh produce is contagious
Which is a good thing, because the plants keep producing ...
Way past, the initial clamor over who will receive the first squash.
Weighing stranger danger  fences until shared memories builds friendships
Awaking the suppressed crevice of my aunts memory of picking backyard squash for dinner
Way beyond the glamour of adding them to a simple stir fry or if you sauté them.
Weighing down on our plate until we decide that it's time to freeze it
Awaking the desire to grow more good food.
