We need new Garden Beds

The last time Mapes Avenue beds were built was in 2011. With support from the Mary Mitchell Youth we built beds and planted new crops in two weeks. Youth came to Mapes Avenue Garden to weed and plant a bed they will maintain throughout the season.

 
Currently all the beds are falling apart. I am excited to garden along side several supers who are very creative in rehabbing our deteriorating beds. However, we need funding to rebuild all the beds! There are a lot  of cost to managing a community garden. This month we prioritized garden insurance and port-a-potty fees. We are hoping to receive support from Green Thumb or our local council member to rebuild our garden.
