Can the collards grow in the shade?

 Each year the number of collard greens I grow increases. I've always had a great crop. I've always planted it in full sun by may. However, I this year I didn't sow seeds or buy transplants. I have half a box left in the sun but a full spot in the shade. 

Thankfully, the Parkers are going down to North Carolina to bring me some collard transplants. Well actually, they are going for their family.
