Frutas??

There are a lot of fruits in Costa Rica, so it’s very easy to obtain fruits. I usual have fruit and juice for breakfast. I realized I am not a heavy breakfast eater. I have a mango tree in my backyard. It will  bloom in march- I cannot wait. I also have a coconut tree in my front yard, and I believe my host mother's sister-law has an avocado tree. Some of the main fruits I have been eating are watermelon, papaya, mandarins, lemon-mandarins (that is its own fruit) and of course bananas. Oh yea I also eat a lot of real fresh coconut and pineapples in abundance. Eating pineapple made my day. I had real coconut, when I went to Tortuga Island with my school. My friends and I decided that real coconut, doesn't taste very coconut-y. One friend said that it’s missing "white 40". (ha ha )They have another fruit called the water apple... I haven't tried it yet, because someone told me it was sour but my host mother told me it tastes good. They also have a lot of coconuts. If you look in the picture with trees, it’s of a man climbing a coconut tree to get one. This is the view across from school I was sitting on my school's patio/balcony when I took it. The other picture I took when I went to "el Centro". This guy was just standing there cutting an ORANGE with a machete. I thought that was pretty unique and dangerous so I took a picture. When I passed his truck, he had another companero inside doing the same thing. My host mother said that it’s pretty normal. Maybe I will get a machete too. :) Can you see which coconut tree has the man climbing down?
