An SOS imagined

Imagine there is nothing new under the sun. Such obvious struggles for basic rights, denied systemically era through era. This tug of war between the privilege and powerless - is the exact same balance that set the Civil Rights Movement straight.

Imagine the weight of the cries for help in remote places, are the same John Newton heard in the belly of this ship. The Shuffle of the systems, to keep the status quo. Mr. Frederick Douglass after all his travels understood, the same old circumstances Shakespeare thought to en-lighten would not alter unless you did.

Imagine the passions we feel, God battled them while he was on earth. A Struggle overcoming structures. The force which demanded Dr. Martin Luther King's life thrives on like the tree that grows in Brooklyn.

Slave trade or sweatshop. Submission or Starvation.  Simplicity or  splendor. Subsisting or Sleeping. Here is the thought. There are those who fight for what could be and those who fight for what is.

Imagine Freguson's cry of justice. Hilter's great call to arms, Thatcher command for progress. Trumpet sounded at the beginning of time. The call to what is answered when is the time is right because only who knows where the greatest struggle lies.

Imagine that the cause is rooted here on earth. The goal is that any call for help will never be heard. The masses should feel that times are changing and this is not the same old struggle.
