What's in a name
Recently some more goldfish came to live at 327 Waters Place (aka my fish tank)... and though I fell in love with them immediately, I have yet to name them. Why does it maater? Today, hours after I created a flyer, I brainstormed names for the event. Hoping to come up with an slogan or name that would draw residents. What is in a name?
Why is it that sponsors, promoters, hostesses give away freebies or have a catchy name to attract a crowd? Has life really became this great rat race of advertisement? Advertisment purpose is to catch our attention and to persuade.Where is our attention that over 17 billion dollars are spent each year on advertisment on financial products alone? Financial products that manage your money, retirement and student loans, investment products... shouldn't these products especially just speak for themselves?
All this money spent of advertisment, time and resources on promotion - yet the actaully purpose of the event is over look. We spend so much drawing people and preparing to commemorate the event later, we never fully enjoy the event.
