Growers are special people and it's a fun task. Many people of color associate growing with negative memories of undignified labor.
Prior to COVID-19 I was grieved by the #45 fake drama around undocumented people from Mexico.
As folks stock up on necessities I consider vegetables shelf-life and I must calmly walk out the store with just enough to eat for the next two weeks.
I silently wonder, where will my vegetables come from if community gardens stay closed? Are farmers essential workers? Are their enough migrant farmers to harvest the crops? Will the prices go up or will produce disappear? W
