Berry Blast Smoothie
So, while at college to make sure I kept up my "healthy eating habits" my brother and I sometimes have a fruit & vegetable challenge to see who ate 5-7 servings. I really enjoy smoothies, besides they are great way to complete your total "recommend" servings of fruits and vegetables. Also, I think if you are having difficulty including fruits and veggies in your meal then... Idk... but here is a simple versatile smoothie recipe.
Ingredients:
1 cup frozen strawberies
1 cup of frozen blueberries
1/2 cup of cheeries, rasberries or blackberries
1 Banana
1/2 cup of yogurt or milk(optional)
Directions: Add ingredients and blend until smooth. Drink chilled
*(The yogurt and banana will make the smoothie creamy and allow the machine to run smoothly. Add banana/yogurt so that it touches the blender first.I use a bullet so I added the yogurt last.)(Also, if berries are not frozen, add 1 cup of ice.)
