The Big Dirt Mountain

So, a few weeks ago, the garden received an EXTRA LARGE load of soil. After filling the beds, we still haden't used a good portion of the remaining soil. Today during exploration in the garden the kids enjoy climbing the big dirt mountain, surfing down the mountain and even recording a movie. I really enjoyed how they competed to imagine crazier and crazier stories. All with just a big pile of soil.

My sister who is an elementary teacher often stresses the importance of kids having time to play and unwind.In the garden there is many adventures and points of interest. At the end of each class I have exploration time. Each time, I learn some new whether its a handful of mushrooms growing behind trees or classroom management in the garden. During exploration kids forget all about being squeamish.
