Harvesting tomatoes with Jay

You can't really see how many cherry tomatoes there are in this photos. But I am very surprise because this is not the sunniest box in the garden. I am growing three different varieties of tomatoes this year. (I will update you later with the names... one is cherry candy tomatoes the other looks like a beef tomato.)

Jay lives next door to my community garden. When I came by to weed, he and his brother stopped playing outside to come in and chat. So I asked them to helped me water and harvest tomatoes. They are very fortunate to have access to multiple gardens unlike most NYC children. His grandfather gardens at another garden near by. It is always exciting to come be in a garden and see food grow.  They had fun impressing me with their knowledge of urban gardening.
