Building community

As you can see I ride the train a lot, I love the idea of advertisements because it gives me something to read and blog about! Seamless and grubhub have been very creative in their advertisements. However, I thought that this one highlighted what is wrong with NYC culture and seeks to promote it.

I am not going to lie, if you speak to me, my defense mood goes on immediately. However, I don't necessarily think that is good for New Yorkers to be so unsociable.  I do believe the lack of communication hurts us on various levels whether its the ability to enjoy healthy open places where any and everybody can interact or its when we seek to hold our leaders accountable.  The lack of communication builds feelings of apathy, keeps us disenfranchised and fearful of the unknown.
