As a resident of an over populous city, NYC residents deal with twice the amount of stupidity as rural residents. That's why most of us are fluent in sarcasm, have some sort of Ninja face training and have varying degrees of Street -smarts.
As a resident of NYC one deals with an absurd amount of garbage... literally. This is something we should not accept. That's why I encourage you to adopt a corner. Call 311 request a garbage can and become a vigilante. Report any conniving store who chooses to dump their garbage outside of their designated area.
I think it's absurd that we walk amidst garbage as if its normally. My friends say Singapore have impeccably clean, even Bostonians boast of having clean streets. I mean how can we really say even the NY Mets not to mention the Bronx Bombers are greater than the stinky Red Sox'... if we walk among garbage causally.
