Oregano brujo grows in my bathroom

Some time in September, I brought in a branch of oregano brujo. This tropical herb is common use to make teas in Dominica Republic and in sofrito in Puerto Rico. I picked off a few leaves to cook with and place the stem in a water bottle to grow through out the winter. I must admit, it's growing pretty slow, comparing to how it grew outside. However something surprising is happening..
Actually two surprising things, first along with the roots in the water  two leaves sprung up: GROWING IN WATER. The second surprisign thing that happen is a small branch in the air sprout a roots. What should I do? Wait and see or divide the plant?
